Peter is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Institute of Directors, and has spent many years in the construction industry in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East as an engineer and project manager.

He has extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of construction dispute resolution and has dealt with over 3000 disputes including more than 500 adjudications and 500 arbitrations . He has also acted as a mediator and as a facilitator in both construction and IT disputes on contracts worth up to £3 billion.

Alexander Dain

Alexander joined CCC with several years' experience of litigation and alternative dispute resolution representing clients in court, tribunal and appeal proceedings. He was graded “Very Competent” in his Bar exams.

At CCC, Alexander's practice is predominantly in contentious matters, and he has acted for claiming and defending parties across the spectrum of construction trades. He takes on large-scale arbitrations and adjudications, often factually and legally very complex, and applies in-depth knowledge, attention to detail and strategic thinking to get clients the best possible results. He also provides some non-contentious services, for example regularly drafting standard terms of business, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees.

Morwenna Crichton

Recently featured as an expert commentator for the BBC news and described as a "legal bigwig" by Building Magazine, Morwenna is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Adjudication Society, the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, the Institute of Directors and the Technology and Construction Bar Association. She is also a Technology and Construction Bar Association Panel Adjudicator.

Experienced in arbitration, adjudication, mediation and litigation, she has been involved in hundreds of disputes from different disciplines where the sums claimed have run into the multi-millions. Morwenna also specialises in non-contentious matters by providing ongoing advice and support to CCC's clients in the preparation and administration of contracts. Morwenna is one of the primary training providers at Contract & Construction Consultants and has delivered over 100 public and bespoke seminars.

Elizabeth Mugan

Elizabeth joined CCC following successful completion of the Bar Vocational Course.  She is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, the Adjudication Society and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. 

Elizabeth's experience is primarily in contentious work, representing both claiming and defending parties. She is particularly experienced in claim preparation, drafting, litigation and dispute resolution across a variety of trades, from scaffolding to demolition contractors, within the construction industry, and ranging from commercial and residential developments to network rail projects.  Elizabeth has also acted for clients in multi-party disputes, instructed expert witnesses and been involved in pursuing negligence claims.

Elizabeth also deals with non-contentious matters regularly, including contract reviews and risk assessments, to ensure that clients follow all contractual procedures and, in turn, recoup their entitlements.

Lisa Norton

Lisa joined CCC with a first class honours degree and has since passed the Graduate Diploma in Law with Merit. 

Lisa has a range of experience in contentious matters including experience of adjudication, arbitration, litigation and mediation, where Lisa has acted for both claiming and defending parties. Lisa has worked for clients across various sectors of the construction industry and has been involved in many disputes involving contractors in the Construction Index's top 100 Construction Companies, including an active role on a dispute against a £500M turnover main contractor which has since instructed CCC to act on its behalf.

Lisa also has experience of dealing with non-contentious matters including contract advice and providing ongoing commercial assistance to clients from the formation of the contract all the way through to resolution of the final account. These include commercial assistance on contracts for the development of 3 schools, hospital redevelopments and major aviation projects.

Christopher Dean

Christopher's role at CCC primarily includes contentious work, such as preparation of claims and drafting materials for proceedings. He has experience of acting for both claiming and defending parties across a wide range of construction trades and on various new build and refurbishment projects, including schools, university buildings, hospitals, housebuilding projects, retail and other private projects.

Christopher also undertakes non-contentious work, spanning contract reviews, advice on preparation of contracts and drafting training materials, and providing ongoing commercial assistance on live projects from start to end to ensure that the maximum commercial value from those projects is achieved.
